Welcome to my blog! I created ‘The Ravel Out’ to capture my makes while I unravel my sewing ideas, one stitch at a time.

Ravel (out)

verb

  1. unravel; untangle.

  2. undo (twisted, knitted, or woven threads).

The Megan Shirt (# 2)

Happy Hump Day! It's only right that I make this shirt again right? This time, I made some modifications to the pattern because I barely had enough fabric left. I made entire the top longer, with the back a little longer than the front. I totally left the collar out as well and I did not add the required sleeve bands. I think it still turned out great! I'm curious to see what others do with this pattern. You can buy the  Megan Shirt pattern here so join me and let's get sewing!

It's always a good feeling when you have good results even with modifications to patterns. The photo above shows the V-neck yoke which is my favorite part of the entire shirt followed by the pleat in the back. There are so many ways to dress up this shirt. Since it's warm outside, I went with the shorts. I would love to see what you all do with this pattern.
