It's a Wrap! (DIY Dress + Review)
Happy Monday! I finally completed my first wrap dress ever! I'm happy with the results but i'm definitely hoping to improve on my next one. The pattern review is below.
Burda 6730 Pattern Review
Pattern Description: Wrap Dress with Kimono Sleeves
Pattern Sizing: Regular
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. Just like it.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy to follow. I skimmed through the instructions and just winged it.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? There is too much extra fabric in the front which doesn't give it a fit/flattering look. I had to hide them by making darts.
Fabric Used: Cotton jersey
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I had to put huge darts on both front sides of the dress to get a better fit.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and yes but i would use a sturdier stretch fabric to get a little more structure.
Conclusion: I think it's a great wardrobe builder. It'll be nice to have a couple more in my wardrobe.
